mhm
Christmas was good. Family (Aunt dee and ben, mom,....and my dad) and friends (amanda, josh, and travis) Slept in, opened gifts the night before. Maybe i'll upload pics from my new camera?
I'm tired right now so i type like this. I'm sure you don't mind.
2009 is on it's way. I'll be 18. I'll be graduating. I'll be off to basic training. I'll be off to college in NC.
Everything is changing and nothing seems like it'll be the same....is that scary? I think it is. I never really talk about it. But it is.
Kathleen Kelly,
Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life. Well, not small, but circumscribed. And sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around?
You see, i used to agree with that. and maybe I still do. Semi-girly girl, who has a good group of friends, and loves them all, does the unexpected. She takes control, joins the military, goes to college. Yes, this is what I want. But it feels like I'm going through the motions. I don't feel like I've done anything...like, out of the ordinary? I don't feel this zest for life right now. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my life. I have great friends, a great family, and a great plan. And I enjoy it everyday. But something seems....off. I don't know. I'm ranting now, as you can see. I really wanna make a difference in this world, I'm always seeking change. This year, i want to find it.
I guess what I'm saying is this. I'm most happy when I'm doing something. You know. Helping someone. Being there. Talking to my friends. Having a positive influence in some way shape or form. I'm not happy when I keep to myself. Maybe b/c it's b/c I've been on break. And I love break. And I've been hanging out with a lot of friends. But it's not the same. I guess I just need to get back into the swing of things.
Anyway, an "update" for posterity sake. I have joined the Ohio Army National Guard and I have been accepted to Gardner Webb U. I leave for BCT on June 9th. I gradguate from high school on June 6th. I'm going to LCC next semseter. I've made some new friends, many from the gamers guild. Others include, Melissa (met at the gamers guild, she's a friend of Kim from GBS), Michelle (from my econ class), Alex (friend of Michelle), Josh (travis' brother), Travis, Amanda (Joshes g/f), and last but not least, Emily.
A friend of travis, Tami, joined the guard. So that was cool. I'm kinda sick of typing all of a sudden, no real reason why. I think I'll add later, so yeah. good night yall', love ya, God bless,

My day as a Junior servant!! Part Two
Oh yeah, I was still here, but I was about to be on my way to Lauren's next class. Fourth period- History with Mr. Pollizee.
That was a fun class, mainly b/c we didn't do any real work! Justin had brought his guitar, so we had a worship time (Here I am to Worship, here I am am to bow down, here I am to say that Your my God...) So I liked that. Then we ate the cupcakes that someone brought in and just chilled out till the end of the period.
Lauren's fifth period class was English with Mrs. Kershaw. Nothing much to say here- but Mrs. K did give me and Lauren some cake! so that was cool
After that, we went down to lunch. Not much to tell about that, except for the fact that someone brought a boom box and a disco ball! So we turned off the lights and made two lines, and had people dance in between. THAT was funny. And what a scandal! Students DANCE at CCA!? LOL
After lunch, we went back to Mrs. Kershaw's class- and b/c they had stuff to do, I went to go....clean out Laurens locker!!! O.O !*yikes*!
It took me over half the period, but it looks really nice now :-)
After that, Lauren has Mrs. Raymond for Math. They took a test, so I just sat at the back of the room. One of the juniors had made this chair, and duct taped it to wooden beams. I sat on that- and it was soooo comfy! So yeah, I fell asleep. And some inmature*cough idiot juniors* through gummy bears at me. Richard asked me if I knew who did it and I said "Well, I know it couldn't have been a junior, b/c they wouldn't be so in mature"
It was a total burn, but at the time, I actually said it b/c I didn't think it had been a junior. But then everyone went "ooooh"- so yeah, it was.
9th period, the 8th grade girls had a meeting thing with some senior high girls, so we (the servants) weren't allowed in. So I decided to come down here to type this up.
The rest of my day will look like this. Brenna's parents will drop me off at the library. My mom will pick me up from there, and she'll take me to my ASL class over at Lakeland. Then, I get to relax for the rest of the night! yey me!!! So yeah, I guess I'm done for now, I'm sick of typing, lol. So bye everyone, mucho amo,

My day as a Junior servant!! Part One
Each year, the Juniors are auctioned off to the Jr and Sr high to raise money for Jr/Sr! We provide various services which include:
- carrying their books
- cleaning their lockers (yikes!)
- giving them compliments
- taking their notes
- bringing them lunch
- w/e else they want us to do :-)
Lauren Davis 'bought' me for 25$, so I feel loved!!! The day started out in devotions, where we talked about the day to come. We took the elevator (my leg is still killing me) to the second floor where Lauren has 1st period Science. I took her quiz for her (I worte, she gave me the answers), and then I was chosen to point to various body parts on a skelton. It was amusing!
After science, Lauren has 2nd period Art. I fetched her a cup of water and a mini doughnut from a fellow servent for her. Serving isn't as bad as some people make it out to be! anyway,
Mrs. Fuller had us go outside to make snow sculptures, but we neded up having a snow ball fight instead. I don't think she minded that much, she was laughing the whole time! So yeah, my jeans are still wet, but atleast I can feel my fingers!
After art, Lauren has 3rd period computer. As you might have guessed, by the time stamp of this blog, we are still in the computer lab.
I haven't updated in forever, and a lot has happened and a lot has changed. I decided to update when I found out that my friend has one of these, so I guess we'll be going back and forth.
Sorry that it has been beyond a long time with no update!! :-( but I'm back now, so have no fear!
